Unfortunately the profile editor does not have the same editor capabilities that a post has.
What I recommend is creating your signature as you would any other post. Then copy it to the signature box in your profile.
1. Create your signature using the Create Thread in the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum. By using that forum your post count will not be affected.
2. Be sure you are in the Preview mode. It is the left tab at the bottom of the page.
3. Design your signature.
4. Change to the BBCode tab at the bottom of the editor.
5. Select the entire content to copy. You do not need to use the Create Thread button
6. Go to your signature block: Profile->Edit Profile->Personal
7 Paste your copied text into the Signature block.
8. Press Save Personal Settings button at the bottom of the page.
If you did use the Create Thread button in the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum please go back there and delete it.
