Post subject: Deer Run RV Resort - Crossville
We just camped two weeks ago right here in Crossville. What a surprise and only 15 miles from home. The fees are higher than your State and Federal parks, but for us the trade-off was 30 minutes travel and minimum gas used. This was a first camp with our new to us camper. We did not want to leave town in the event we had problems. The campground is Deer Run RV Resort, a gated campground situated on a 30+ acre lake off of Peavine Road on Firetower Road. It's a little more open than what we are use to and your neighbor is close, but we did not find that to be a problem. Golf carts are available for rental. Bring your kayak, canoe or small boat. Trolling motor only. No gasoline engine. Camp store is very nice with the usual clothing and rv accessories. There is also a deli. Subs and pizzas are made to order.
